Biography

I’m a lecturer and researcher at Torrens University Australia, where I teach game design and programming while continuing my research into serious games. Having recently completed my PhD in Computer Science, my work centers on developing game design methodologies that incorporate ethical decision-making, particularly within cybersecurity contexts.

Coming from a background of game development and toward games research, I hold a B.A. (Hons.) in Game Design and Development, an MSc. by research from Abertay University and a PhD from Macquarie University. My research interests evolved from looking paradoxical gameplay systems to exploring how we make moral decisions in games. Recently, I have become interesting in exploring at how games can be used as supplementary tools to help with addiction.
